MTS Lecture Series

The Mind, Technology, and Society (MTS) Lectures welcomes Professor Sarah Anderson from Cornell University on Sept. 27.

Lectures take place each Monday this fall at 3 p.m. in KL 232, and are free and open to students, staff, faculty and the general public.

Oct. 18 - Mark Turner, Case Western Reserve University

Frontiers Lecture Series

The fall semester program of the Frontiers of Science and Engineering lecture series has begun, with engineering Professor Lilian Davila giving the first talk on Sept. 18. Yihsu Chen will speak on Oct. 16 and Qinghua Guo on Nov. 20. The lectures are held at 10 a.m. in the Challenger Learning Center, 3460 Challenger Way, Atwater. They are free and open to the public.

Energy Speaker Series

The i4energy Fall Speaker Series, held at noon every Friday through Dec. 10 at UC Berkeley, will be shown simultaneously by video broadcast in room 100 of UC Merced’s Science and Engineering Building. The series includes professors at the universities in the Center for Information Technology in the Interest of Technology (CITRIS), which include UC Merced, UC Berkeley, UC Davis and UC Santa Cruz.

Psychological Sciences Colloquium

An eclectic talk series designed to bring in a variety of approaches and research topics of interest to psychological sciences. Talks begin at noon.
